Yesterday was an absolutely gorgeous day. We had the kids over and grilled some burgers and hot dogs. My oldest daughter, and her daughter, even made it though she was sick. That was really nice as the point of the get-together was to remake a photo of them with their pets. See, my youngest daughter had found an old photo of the three kids with their new pets (two puppies and a kitten) taken almost 15 years ago on the steps of our house at the time. One of the dogs...well, she will be taking a last ride to the vet very soon. We just wanted to remake that photo before it's too late. After the photo my son complained about how the steps had shrunk in 15 years. lol It was great sitting around and chatting about things and catching up. We got all the errands completed in less than 2 hours, then went for lunch and did some grocery shopping. I was watching TV the other night and I happened to catch a news event. Now, I am not one to watch the news all the time, but there was a story about a plan crash and that made me think. I thought to myself how a certain string of events would lead a person to wanting to go somewhere, or needing to go somewhere by plane and booking a ticket on the exact flight that would have a crash. What an incredible chain of events that has to be. I also thought to myself how you just never know what the next day may hold for me or even you as you read this. I could wake up the next day to the sound of a plane crashing into my house and the whole thing is over for me. One just never knows. Been working for several days on laying the foundation for an ebook I want to create. It is actually based on an ebook written by someone else and I am requesting an email interview with him. So I have spent a lot of time reviewing his work and drawing up a long list of questions for the email interview. Finally today I have the first draft including the cover letter. I plan to let it sit tonight and do a final review tomorrow before sending it on to my partner to review. If she says it's ready, then I will be fedexing it on Friday. Anyway, that's the plan. Now, I just have to hope there is lots of interest in construction project for bid. My partner, who is more experienced than I, believes this will go over well.
